We had another day pass for Jacob to get out of the hospital, so we made a plan to take him to the Zoo. Josh had been there twice already, but even with that we had not seen quite everything. We woke up to discover Josh with a runny nose, he was stuffed up, and he was sneezing. We hope they are just allergies, because the last thing we need is for Jacob or I to get sick with less then 2 weeks to go in rehab.
We got out of the hospital a bit later than we wanted to and made our way to find a sandwich shop for some lunch. We drove all the way to the zoo without finding much that was open, so we just decided to go in and eat at the zoo. Right before we got there, Jacob fell asleep. We managed to get him in his chair and he stayed asleep while we were in the zoo and eating lunch. We finally managed to get him awake and feed him and then go see some animals. The day was not nearly as nice as the last time we were there, but oh well, it was for Jacob. He seemed to enjoy looking at the animals (and sometimes the people more) and we spent a few hours there before it was almost dinner time.
After the zoo, we made our way to the Ronald McDonald house, because they were hosting a dinner for all families and so we all had dinner together. After dinner, we went to our room and played and hung out waiting for my Mom that was coming in from Boise on a shuttle from the airport. While we waited the boys wrested on the bed, and watched Monsters Inc., and had tickle fights. Jacob even practiced his walking with Rick and I. My Mom finally made it and I took her and Jacob back to the hospital, so she could stay with him. We made it just as they were calling looking for us (because we were an hour late). I helped get Jacob settled with pj's and medicine and I left them to go and make sure Rick and Josh were packed up to leave on a shuttle to the airport early in the morning. I am going to miss them both, but it will be good for Josh to get back to his regular day to day school and activities. I am sure this last couple weeks will fly by and I will get to see them and everyone there in Boise soon!
