Date Night

Thursday we had another good day of therapy and we had our weekly team meeting.  They said Jacob is doing extremely well, and even gave us the opportunity to go home earlier than the 15th.  We have decided that as much as we would like to be home, we want Jacob to be at the best possible place in his abilities before we leave.  They were good with that decision and said it will be a pleasure keeping him here until the 15th.  They believe that they can get him to the point of walking with minimal assistance by the time he leaves.  He is already getting set up to start therapies when we get back, so we should be ready.
Rick and I got a gift from Liz and Gary.  They came over to the hospital and stayed with Joshua and Jacob, while we got to take advantage of a special dinner in one of Seattle's best restaurants.  They were running a promotion (with the last day being 3-31) that could get you a starter, main course and dessert all for a fraction of the normal cost.  It was a treat to be able to eat something sooo good (especially after having so much hospital cafeteria food)!   So had made reservations at Salty's on Alki, and had and awesome dinner!  The view was also incredible and the sun even came out just in time for a quick sunset on the city.  What an awesome night.  Thanks you very much Liz and Gary!  Even the boys had a good time and got to go see a clown in the playroom.  Josh is still repeating some of his jokes, although I think when the clown said them they probably made a bit more sense.

I also have to say a delayed Thank You to our friends Kevin and Angie.  Earlier this week we had a very heavy box show up at the hospital.  We opened it up and found lots and lots of good snacks.  There was even a couple of surprises in the bottom for Josh to dig for.  He found a hot wheels car, and garbage truck to keep him busy here in the hospital.  He was very excited and dug through the box furiously to get to them.  Thanks again you guys! We are very fortunate to have so many friends and family that have done so many things for us.  We love and appreciate all of you very much!
