One More Day

Saba, Jacob, and Happy (Jacob admiring the Polaroid Happy took of him)
Well it is now official, we only have one more day to be in the hospital.  Tomorrow, Friday April 15, we will be checking out of Seattle Children's Hospital and ending our nearly 6 week stay here in Seattle.  I have a feeling it will be a day filled with lots of photos (like the one you see above of 2 of our favorite nurses on the rehab unit) and probably even some hugs.  We are so glad to be going home, but have been very happy with all of the care Jacob has received here.  I feel much more confident in our ventures home now than I ever realized I would a few weeks ago.  I know whenever we come back to Seattle now, we are going to have to stop by and see all of the people that helped Jacob get to where he is now.   I also look forward to all of the new relationships we will make with his therapists in Boise though.
We still have one full day of therapy to go, but then as soon as it is done, we are signing the release papers and going back to the Ronald McDonald house to pack up.  We plan on getting everything ready and the car packed Friday night, so we can be ready to take off first thing Saturday morning for the 8-9 hour drive back home. Hopefully the weather will be a bit better when we leave, because watching the news they have been getting snow on the pass since last night.  It has been unseasonable cold here the last few days, and I would like it better if Seattle would shape up and show us a more appropriate goodbye with the sun and a little more warmth, but this is Seattle after all.
I will end this post, so I can try to get a little bit of sleep for my last night here at the hospital and will be sure to get lost of photos tomorrow to end our time here.
